Gore broke the tie on the 1993 tax increase. He had the whole package in his lap and he voted yes. That's about the only thing they can rightfully claim "credit" for.

I think your right...but in politics (as in business), it's perception that counts. Bush will have to work hard to dispel the belief that Clinton/Gore had nothing to do with it. However, I don't think they can say that without appearing negative. I think they are going to have to simply keep pounding the integrity and leadership argument.

I still dont see much difference between the two major parties...each seems to have stolen the others best ideas. The Dems have stolen the economic ideas of the Reps and the Republicans are trying to don the Democratics inclusiveness. Politics is an amazingly dirty sport.

We will see how it goes. May the best team win.
