Second-year pro D'Wayne Bates is an interesting prospect but a hamstring injury has cost him two weeks and possibly a job as well. Dez White's speed and Macey Brooks' size might give them the edge over injury-plagued Bates. "[I'm] trying to make sure I'm not too hasty to judge (Bates)," wide receivers coach Mike Borich told the Chicago Sun-Times. But Borich is also high on 5-foot-6 speed merchant Corey Bridges, who has had a great camp. Jauron likes what he sees but favors caution Dick Jauron ended his second training camp with the Bears on Wednesday and said the merit of the camp will be proven on the field.
