Craig and Jason,

I likely borrowed Warren Buffett's catch phrase without intending to return it and without paying a licensing fee.

It has been my motto since day 1 here on Silicon Investor.

Craig, the problem with Warren Buffett is not his method of valuation of companies but his unwillingness to invest in technology stocks. He's right to avoid investing in what he doesn't understand. The problem is that he ought to try to understand. If he did have a better understanding of companies like SanDisk, he would appreciate them for the very same reason he invests in companies like Coke--proprietary product, dominant in its industry, extraordinary positive cash flow, and skilled management.

There's nothing wrong with using traditional valuation measures. What's wrong is not being able to apply those measures meaningfully to the technology area.
