August 11, 2000 InterAct has announced that three new accessories, the DVD Basic Remote, DVD Master Remote, and Stereo RFU Adapter, will be available for the PlayStation 2's launch on Thursday, October 26. The DVD Basic Remote comes with an infra-red receiver and can control all of the PS2's DVD features with its twelve function keys and directional pad. The DVD Master Remote does all that the Basic Remote does with the additional bonus of being a universal remote. With it you can ideally control all of your home entertainment devices with this one remote. The Stereo RFU Adapter is, as you might suspect, a stereo RFU adapter. It features gold-plated connectors and PlayStation 1 backward compatibility.
