Thanks Pat M.,

I have been too busy keeping the RMBS thread smiling to pay much attention to real business lately. Thanks for snapping me out of it.

Frankly I don't know enough about Cypress or their particular brand of techno speak. Just off the top of my head I would think that 8Mb units are too small to be the type of product that EMS is designing for them. But then the article just mentions that as an example to reference the capability of their RAM7 process. It does say they'll be running 10 new products through that Fab4C line.

I think Infineon's CMOS that EMS is planning to use was given as 0.17 or 0.18 micron but I'm not sure now. I suspect that there will be a press release about sampling late in the Quarter which may have some tantalizing specifics about the this new eDRAM chip.

I guess I'll have to start hanging out over on the Cypress thread. ...But I just don't think its going to be as much fun. :8)
