"they have to be honest to be a poet... but it is their truth, not necessarily yours"

how very well said. dylan's tight connection comes from him casting a mysterious beam of light into the darkest corner of our hearts. he has a way of coming through that you can't quite put your finger on. the poet's truth permits us to hold a handful of rain and his mystery tempts you to defy it. he'll take you as far in as you want to go. you can hear him drop a coin into the cup, see the light bust through a beat up shade, and never turn around to see the frowns. you're invisible now inside the museum, or you're going to walk down that dirt road til someone lets you ride. it's not dark yet, but the sun is sinking like a ship. his truth, your heart, his paint, your canvas.
