With this being the first day of school, today will be a little tougher for me also, but not for any sentimental reasons. Tuesday morning is when I do my volunteer Envelope Stuffing duty at my church. With school back in session, traffic will be much worse, and the parking lot at my church, which has a K-12 private school, will again resemble an SUV dealership and my close-up parking will be gone.

O, the trials and tribulations of a retired bachelor!

And I do empathize with your latest parenting milestone.
