The Revenue Represents Growth and Increased Market Share from the Operation of The 56 BentleyTel TeleCenters and the BentleyTel Hosted Dial Up Services for the Australian Northern Territory Government. NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Aug. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Global TeleMedia International (OTC Bulletin Board: GTMI) announced that the Company's second quarter 10QSB had shown strong seasonally adjusted growth. The growth was due to the increase in revenue from its TeleCenters in the Philippines and the commencement of its dial up Internet services for the Australian Northern Territory Government. President Jonathon Bentley-Stevens said, "We are pleased with the revenues generated in the second quarter 2000. Christmas, New Year and holiday calling traffic boosted the first quarter revenue and we are pleased to have maintained revenue without these traditional high volume communication periods. "In fact revenues should have been much higher. A consortium including NEC, COMPAQ and CABLE & WIRELESS and BENTLEYTEL operates under a 5-year government contract under which BentleyTel Australia hosts and manages the government Internet. The rollout was slowed by hardware delivery problems. BentleyTel is not involved in these deliveries and its role is to develop and manage the government Internet platform. Due to the delay BentleyTel Australia showed only a fraction of the potential income of the contract. The consortium partners should deliver and install the balance of the hardware in this quarter and this should see a significant increase in revenue for the remainder of the year." Additionally revenues from the BentleyTel National Network should also commence this quarter with many existing ISPs already committing to becoming part of the VoIP/VPN and ITSP network. BentleyTel received many praises during ISPCON 2000 for its part in the development and rollout of the Ericsson Tigris Network. Ericsson (Nasdaq: ERICY) featured a glowing report about BentleyTel on their web site: ericsson.com.au He continued, "With expansion in the Philippines also targeted for this quarter we are pleased to welcome Carmelina V. Francia to the BentleyTel finance team. Carmelina, a CPA, PhD with a Masters in Business Administration will assume the task of financial preparation, reporting and system standardization for the Philippines. She was Finance Director for the University of the Southern Philippines for 15 years and is currently a Director of the Association of Management Accountants. The Company intends to bring the head of finance for each subsidiary to the USA at the end of this quarter to meet with our Auditors and develop a standardized plan for electronic monthly reporting which will keep pace with the anticipated rise in revenue that the BentleyTel multi-national expansion should bring." The company is also pleased to announce its association with PrimeVest.com, a leading edge Public relations firm located in La Jolla, CA. PrimeVest specializes in providing a diversity of services for the high-tech public company sector. Tim Garlin, who re-located with PrimeVest, will continue to assist the company's shareholders and investors with dissemination of corporate information and will assist in the development of a results orientated investor relations program which will keep pace with the anticipated growth of GTMI.
