Irish Inflation at 15-Year High
B: Irish Inflation at 15-Year High

DUBLIN, Ireland, Aug 15, 2000 (AP Online via COMTEX) -- Inflation hit a 15-year
high of 6.2 percent in July, up from a 5.9 percent annual rate the previous
month, the government said Tuesday.

The government's report noted that transportation costs have risen by 9 percent
in the past year, while costs for fuel and electric power were up 7.1 percent.
Tobacco prices jumped 17.4 percent because of increased taxes.

I quess that higher tobacco prices and higher fuel/electric prices does contribute to inflation in some countries. But, not in the US. We just exclude anything that is inflationary.

Senior Blues Bro<g>. Points well taken. IMO pieces falling in place for bit of an institutional feeding frenzy in Sept. Not trying to hype this. Just the ole corns be aching, LOL. Then will be the time to put the tape under the bright light and decide where and when to start selectively lighten the load. Was balls to the wall off the lows 2-3 wks ago. Didn't have ANY cash till I pulled the rip cord on CRZO. Up till then was sleeping 6 hrs/nite, LOL. But a few days of that was worth it for 55% in 10 trading days in that little bugger. S___t, sure wish I could do that more often. Lawd, lawd...the travails of being just a intermediate guy<G>.

Uh Oh! ...gotta run, n' turn up the boom box. Bonnie Rait and Bruce Hornsby pouring it one with that killer classic of theirs... Life is good.

Best
