Morning Mary,

Those who established this thread tried to emulate as closely as possible live trading of the S&P Index Futures and allow folks to test their skills against themselves, the market and peers. It is really not a contest with rewards, but rather a tightly presented forum to qualify and track our trades and become competent spoo traders. Those who are interested in learning the subtitles have gained a tremendous amount of understanding. I personally have blown up 3 accounts before realizing my mental mistakes and being able to maintain an account over time...!

We have all been "a newbie" at one point and some here have gone on to trade live.

The strict rules and public presentation of your trades will quickly let you know very early the mistakes in timing, contract presentation and most importantly money management. Many people begin trading the Index futures and loose their seed money due to mistakes that can be easily ironed out here before moving on to live trades.

System development is crucial to long-term success... in futures trading there are only winners who remain for long periods and account for only about 20% of all traders...., most give what they come with and any gains back to those who are consistant winners...!

The contest is well worth your time before attempting live trades.
If I can answer any questions let me know..?
