My opinion is that I sold all of my AVI this morning.

I started this thread awhile ago am now, and for the first time, I'm not holding any car rental companies. I started with BD and switched to AVI when they were about the same price at $19-$17 or so a couple of years ago. Just happy that I made more money with AVI than I lost with BD.

[BTW Paul, -- I bought some more WNC with the AVI cash. :o) ]

Took some trading profits in DTG today.

I believe I could be in some more trouble here with BD. We have today the announcement that Ford is offering to buy HRZ. And recently Cendant offered to buy AVI. Someone could also come in to pick off BD as all the potential acquirers consider their strategies given the proposed deals for AVI & HRZ. If Budget does get an offer, I'd guess it'd be for no more than $6 or so -- the acquirer would say that's 50% over current market. And that $6 won't bring me up from being underwater in the stock. I'm not going to like that.
