Ken,

The debt will not be reduced by Gore. He has already promised to spend the nonexistant surplus twice over on new programs. Letting me keep a little more of what I earn is less inflationary than letting the government grow. Nothing is as inflationary as Federal spending. Now take a deep breath and admit that it is a lie to claim that there is a surplus. Come on, you can do it. The truth can set you free.

This is a time for fiscal discipline.

What will it take to educate you democrats that there's more to fiscal discipline than just raising taxes to cover what ever the hell spending politician can dream up.

There has to be discipline in SPENDING as well as taxing. Gore's is proposing MASSIVE new spending programs. How about a little concern for that side of the fiscal balance?

If Bush gets elected with a Republican Congress, I will sell stocks and buy bonds because the Fed is certain to raise interest rates. Greenspan has warned Congress to refrain from a tax cut at this time. They should listen to him.

Higher interest rates would push down bond prices too.
