Dear Sonny, the truth of the matter is that the Russian sub, sunk becasue of lousy worksmanship and low tech "russian rigging!" During the cold war they used to hide these things from their people. Now they can't. But they need a legend! The legend is that the sub hit and object and fire a twice! The last message they received, according to the press release was that the vessel asked permission to fire two missles! At what, or whom they don't say. They made it understood that there were US spy ships and missles in the area. Pressed by the press for the truth, then they said that it was an expolsion
aboard the sub. But too late, the venom had been released, poetry for comon Russians that like to beleive that they fired at a US vessels, then they sank as the result of enemy fire, but Russian governemnt wants to keep it under control in the best interest of the peace.

This is how they save the trouble of telling the Russian public that they are a low tech nation! Hope you understand what I want to tell you.

Kind regards

Yaacov
