freeus--you seem to enjoy life so much, go for it and quit already. You can just write cc on a portion of your portfolio, a safe portion, (i.e. not on a craazy volatile stock), can't you?

freeus, I take a little from investments, but most of the money comes from my online business. I started it a few years ago in the evenings, and made the break this year. Sure, I'm not making what I was making -- yet -- but I will be, and my quality of life has improved one hundred fold. I still work hard, but it doesn't seem hard -- it's fun. No more traffic, no more bosses, no more starched shirts, no more artificial deadlines. I work in the middle of the night when I feel like it, and if I want to go for a run at 10 in the morning, then I do.

When I think that I worked for so many years at some of the biggest companies in America, and remember how miserable I was most of the time during weekdays, I'm astounded that I didn't make the move sooner.
