Michael, >Anyhow, these (ASIC)-companies are doing very well, and ADI is one of the brightest among them. Communication and networking are driving the need for chips, and that is good for AMAT.
Does anyone disagree?

Well, yeah, I disagree on one point. ADI isn't an ASIC company. Also, with regard to your comparison between ADI and LSI (which is basically an ASIC company) LSI has kept up, except for one quarter. That was the most recent, and the stock did get creamed.
