when int rates started being moved up, the mkt began to discount an econ recovery as inflation came under control whcih is bullish for equities... all this during the depths of recession... that's how mkts work, they discount the future... similarly, they will collapse this piggy in expectation of the fun to come...

Market 'guru' granville said in January the market 'would never go thru 1000'.... and sold off a few % that day. I think it's a fabulous example of contrarian investing working like a charm. Gives creedance to being bearish now IMO [seems obvious]. Every major jerk ont he street [young granvilles] are all basically bullish, just a matter of how bullish.
