Short figures come out monthly. They are compiled based on transactions SETTLED as of the 15th (thus, this month, they will be for trades made as of Thur., Aug 10th). The data is published about 7 to 10 days after the 15th, so it won't be out until next week.

My guess is that there are about 9-10 million shares short, which not enough for a significant short squeeze.
