If I open an account with a US broker, then I will be subject to capital gain tax. Here I pay 10 cents to buy a share and 10 cents to sell. In my short protfolgio I do daily traiding with 2 dollars margin. Therefore, out of 2 dollars, I earn 1.80 cents per share. As for bonds, the div. and capital gain is free. To buy bonds I pay 0.15% buying or selling comission. Again div. or capital gain is not subject to taxation. At the end of the year, I pay 0.20%
custody fee. I don't think a US broker can render the above service at such cost. The only problem is that we can't do leaps nor after hour trading!
