Don't know if you saw this already, but George W. supports getting rid of Saddam Hussein. He also supports the US unilaterally developing a missile defense system, which, of course, when perfected, would probably be sold to Israel. These are the reasons I think Gore would be more attractive to Islamic interests. Further, the Clinton administration has been more supportive of the Palestinians than any other administration, inviting Arafat to the White House, for example.

Heinz, here is a story about Al Gore Sr. and Jr. and their ties to Occidental pretroleum fairfieldweekly.com This rag leans heavily to the left so i was suprised by their objectivity. They used to rag on Bush Sr for being born with a silver spoon but failed to credit him for not using his "priveledged" position to avoid combat in WWII - he could have sat behind a typewriter -g- Thanks for your contributions - you are a major asset to the SI . mike
