Carl, if I sold 1/2 of the hot dog stand today and there was the subsequent scenario you describe, I'd be in the same boat. Whenever I sell a call option on a stock position I own there is always the risk that the price will blow through the strike and I will 'lose' potential gains. Also, in your scenario the unmotivated pimply faced kid who would manage the stand for 30k per year now wants 60k per year. Despite the fact that hot dog prices and my gross profit have doubled, I'm now only netting 10k per year. Regards, Barb
