Of course the best thing would be to get rid of the personal income tax and all it's convoluted mechanisms. There are other
legitimate ways to generate the revenue necessary to run the limited gov't that we need.


I think I agree, but what methods of raising revenue would you propose? Also if the methods will only raise enough for a very limited government then we have to be at least well on our way to a very limited government before they will work to well. I believe Harry Browne calls for selling government assets and might have mentioned tariffs raising money; but the value of the assets goes down if you try to sell them quickly and besides they will eventually run at. As for tariffs I think they should be eliminated as
part of a transition to a limited government.
