This past weekend, an orthodox Rabbi explained that certain duties which can be defined as being for the good of all absolve an orthodox Jew from those requirements. Lieberman and his duties, the Rabbi stated, falls under that definition.

It was also pointed out that January 20th (Inauguration Day) falls on Saturday in 2001 -- of course Saturday is the day of the Sabbath. Lieberman affirmed that he will be there to take the oath of office if he and Gore win the election, but he will most likely decline to attend any of the parties, etc.

NY man arrested for threatening Lieberman

After an assistant screened Franco's call, he was allowed to go on the air and allegedly threatened to kill or harm Lieberman. Court papers said that Franco allegedly said that he "hates that Jesus crap. So that Lieberman guy has gonna go. He is gonna take my bullet. He's going to take it."

So... when are they going to arrest the culprits at CBS that ran Bush's acceptance speech with the caption "SNIPERS WANTED"??? Hmmmmm? Inquiring minds want to know.
