<<<Good points but the game has changed, and Dell is not going to be part of the highest growth areas of server based
computing, which are massive, upgradeable server families, from 2-way right up to 256 processor boxes...>>>
The game is always changing for Dell- Dell ventures,
Gigabuys, forthcoming storage arrays, ISPS, leasing.
I don't think they are intending to take over the massive server business right away. Last year my son went to Brazil to install some Dell and HWP servers and the Dells, costing $50k in the US,had 100% import duty and thus cost $100 k in Brazil. Which is just about all I know about servers,-that Dell has some big ones.
The high duties also explain why Dell has built that plant in Brazil.
