I'm somewhat skeptcial since I was expecting a further advance of 2-4 percent to bring the general level of sell signals higher. I've had the high sell signals of 90 percent or more on the OEX for about 3 days. You're correct that they're early since they're not confirmed yet by index sell signals and also tops and bottoms tend to be characterized by momentum that tend to carry the market a little further. I had 100 percent sell signals on the NDX at the July top for two days but not for the S&P 100, and it was at least confirmed by 79 percent sell signals for the general market.
