Instant cookie management

analogx.com

Online privacy is a big deal these days, with huge companies being formed every month to both protect and exploit information gathered about you. By far the most common method used to track individuals on the Internet is the 'Cookie', a small file stored on your machine with information provided by a website... While the majority of the websites out there use this tool as it was intended, more and more are exploiting it in ways that were never intended - that's where AnalogX CookieWall comes in.
AnalogX CookieWall allows you to quickly and easily decide which cookies can stay on your system, and which cookies should go - once you let CookieWall know which ones are unwelcome, it does the rest. CookieWall can be configured to delete cookies as soon as they arrive, to notify you of any new ones, or just que them up for you to check out at a later date.
CookieWall is currently only compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer or derived versions (such as NeoPlanet); Netscape support should be available in the near future.

I have just downloaded and not installed yet. This is a new piece of software so I am a bit leery...

Re-read your post aloud. I found it amusing. Since I have no idea what it's about, the meaning didn't interfere with the 'sound' of the thing.

Enjoy, PW.

mm -

I have AtGuard ( Norton personal firewall's predecessor ) on my old PC. ZoneAlarm is easier to configure than AtGuard.

I'm not clear on why you'd want to run 2 or three different firewalls. Isn't one enough?

za requires a whole lot more configuring than bid, in that one must write a rule for every occurrence. that is what norton personal firewall is like.

I noticed the recent discussion here about inexpensive 19" monitors from Egghead.

I just got a 2-monitor video card and visited a few Brick & Mortar" establishments..... you might remember those ;-)

In any event, here's what I found:
Staples: Pixie #950 $300
Office Depot: Viewsonic #A90 $330
Office Depot: KDS VS-190 $249
Costco: Sylvania $250

My question is... Are these brands second tier in quality and longevity as compared to Sony, CTX etc? Would I be Pennywise but pound foolish is considering any of these?

TIA

PS. I have to go check Sam's Club now...
