ice it is in production,it sells for less then 20 grand. this is a small car about the size of a vw golf,it switches back and forth from gas to electric and also charges the batteries,you never have to plug this in to recharge.Prius is the model name,toyota is thinking about a larger model,i would go for that. regards johh

Ice, from what little I know about it Toyota is heavily subsidizing the car to keep the price low. The combustion engine shuts down when the car isn't in motion--even at stop signs--leaving the batteries to power electronics systems. The battery system comes with a very lengthy warranty, so it appears to be a good deal to be part of the company's "trial".
