Batman-

Just watching the island it appears that major support is building at the 5/8 and up level. The few times I watch the tape to this degree has led me to believe I should hold those Aug 5 calls a wee bit longer...

6 to be re-visited this PM..IMO of course.

Lycos to Develop Voice Portal

By allNetDevices Staff

August 17, 2000

Lycos (NASDAQ: LCOS) says it will launch a voice portal for accessing its Web content via standard phones by the end of the year.

The company says it is working with Mobilee, formerly known as Shoutmail.com, to develop the voice portal. Users will be able to access Lycos content by dialing a local-access phone number and issuing voice commands.

Mobilee will provide both the telecom infrastructure and speech recognition technology. The company says that many of the personalization capabilities of its My Lycos service will be available to voice portal users.

Lycos joins a growing number of voice portals such as Tellme and BeVocal that have launched recently or that will launch by the end of the year. Lycos says that the voice portal will be attractive to its advertisers because it enables them to tightly target messages and deliver audio ads.
