mepci. 10m is absolutely incorrect for laptops. Shanghai and HongKong combined have a population of nearly 40 million (metro and surrounding). HongKong median income exceeds that of many US cities. China count also includes Taiwan where median income is equal to that of S.Korea. I'll point you to a site on Chinese PC sales. It's on file; will look it up in a minute. yours is a very US-Centric view. you may consider yourself a techie, but you may want to visit China - it's eye opening. they're much better off than statistics indicate - and Chinese Govt. figures, by the way, relative to median income, are considered on the conservative side. a respectable percent of business is still handled through the black market.
