Verizon/Bell Atlantic/NYNEX/(jeez when will it end(heh)) is allll over xDSL here in the Northeast right now. They're sure trying hard to keep the other players from eating their lunch. They've got to, as this part of the country is probably the most densely populated, high-tech communications oriented area on the planet, what with the concentration of commercial enterprises within their territory of Washington D.C. to Boston. They are literally sitting on a gold mine with xDSL in these area, and they know it. So too does the competition. Bottom line? It's real interesting to watch the "slug-fest" going on amongst all the competitors vying for position. This is something like what it must have been like in the wild-west days, when the government dropped the "go--you grab it, it's yours" flag for all those pioneers wagon-training into the west looking for land. Much to the chagrin of the local native Indians. Fortunately, in this example we don't have to worry about the natives. Uhhh...excepting cable. ;-) Speaking of slug-fest. Thanks to you, BWAC, et.al., for so easily exposing Stephen Worthingtons', aka Auric, ignorance of things related to bean counting. I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume he's arguing from a point of educational weakness, rather than assume he's once again doing what he stands accused of before a court of law, as one would think he's smart enough to stop such tactics since they could be used by a sharp eyed prosecutor as further proof of his style when arguing before the judge. Nobody's THAT stupid as to continue a pattern once they've been exposed, eh? HEH! John~
