"To work its way further into the enterprise, SuSE was set to demonstate Tuesday night a 64-bit version of its Linux distribution running on Advanced Micro
Devices Inc.'s (NYSE:AMD - news) x86-64 64-bit architecture, code-named Sledgehammer. SuSE developer Jan Hubicka wrote the first versions of the GCC
and binutil development tools for porting the AMD platform to Linux."
