I agree that the Republicans lost a lot of their nerve, but they still cut the rate of growth to bring the budget into balance. MOst of Clinton's fans are quick to give him credit for the balanced budget, but prior to the Republican's taking control of Congress, the Clinton administration foresaw annual budget deficits of over $200M/year beyond 2003 back before the 94 elections.knc
