AvTel... Ariel resemblance. No?

You know, DSL, wireless, fiber optic , semiconductors. And this year it is very sexy to show "profits" (rather than steep losses)....ASYS has lots of profits!

What do we need else: slim float, slim company... not those 100MM+ supertankers which move like molasses.

(Shares of Amtech Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: ASYS) soared 70 percent after it reported a 10-fold jump in profits and a customer win worth $6.4 million.
Shares were up 3 1/16 to 7 7/16, near its 52-week high of 8.)

The company did not say who the customer was. Amtech makes equipment for semiconductor manufacturing; the order was for 11 diffusion furnace systems to be used in the production of optical integrated circuit devices used in fiber optic broadband communications.

As of June 30, Amtech had an order backlog $14,151,000, up from a $4,444,000 backlog at March 31, 2000.

The company said that a recent increase in orders should results in "significantly higher" revenue and operating profit over the next several quarters.

Tuesday, Amtech reported the net sales had risen to $292,000, or 13 cents per share, for the third fiscal quarter, compared to $28,000, or 1 cent per share in the year-ago quarter.

Sales in the third quarter were $4.69 million, compared to $3.4 million in the year-ago quarter.....

Stock is trading on its own... must be done by momentum buy programs. Make that 15.75, up 57% afterhours alone.
