August 28 is 1.1 *systems* ship date. I bet 1.2 will be saved for the DDR launch... October?

Jim, Re: August 28th could prove to be more interesting than we think.

I don't think we will see 1.2 Ghz as soon as this month, however Jerry emphasized that it will launch very soon. My guess is September or October. He was also talking about the superior performance coupled with DDR RAM, so I believe Irongate 760 will be introduced with 1.2 GHz.

Now volume from Dresden is showing up, and AMD can ship more >1 Ghz parts (he mentioned that nearly all those parts come from Dresden). With Intel stuck at 1.13 Ghz (1.2 is IMO impossible with the current stepping, even on paper) AMD has a great opportunity. I really hope that we will ship 1.2 Ghz coupled with DDR RAM before P4 is showing up. That would do wonders to publicity (and the stock price).
