My New Odyssey.
I got my new Honda Odyssey earlier than expected. I didn't expect "mine" (you order them) until September but one of the other dealers, (from asking about them on the web) called and said he had a dark green one that the person who ordered it didn't like, did I want to look at it? This dealer was more expensive than the other, but I hadn't gotten to drive one yet so I went and test drove.
I went home but the Fleet manager called me back that evening and offered to sell it with all the extras (that I didn't want) that were on it at cost. So I took it.
Now I'm glad I have the trim that saves it from hitting things and the alarm. When I go skiing I'll be glad I have the roof rack. And I had the scotchguard put on the interior and 5 year wax put on the exterior.
I left it at the dealer for two nights while I got the guts to drive it. My last car (my precious, beloved Tercel that went 340,000 miles before someone rammed their boat motor into it ) only cost $8000. This vehicle cost $27,800!!!!! Of course it is a luxury vehicle next to a Tercel. But that is still a huge difference.
Finally I took the van home and put it in my garage. Then I car pooled three more days while I got the courage to actually drive it somewhere.
Now I've been driving it for a week. It's awesome.
So though I did not want to give up my Tercel, I must admit to enjoying my new minivan.
I hope my angels bless it for lots of safe cheery travel.
It's a deep forest green so I named it Ceres, for the Greek goddess of planting and sowing seed.
