Don't laugh -- they could very well have done that! People are constantly posting to the Yahoo HP board about HWP. Yahoo itself gets them mixed up: you run a search for news items about HP, and half of them (also labelled HP) are about Hewlett Packard.

Yet that doesn't answer my question: why so little interest in the "real" HP?

Mark, your little joke about folks mistaking HP for HWP was no joke!

Honest to God, HWP, which was up 9% yesterday (as was HP), is down 10% today -- and HP is down 7%.

There has been no HP news to account for this volatility, but there has been plenty of HWP news. Yesterday, HWP reported a blockbuster earnings surprise. Today, doubts set in about its failure to meet revenue projections.

Somebody ought to sue Yahoo for listing its HWP news as HP news!

Just shows you how much DD people do when buying stocks....Ho, ho!
