Thanks for the great reply. That's just what I needed to know. It's just my home network so internal security is not a problem. Since I've always just dealt with closed networks until now, I've never had to learn about security. I'll look into your suggestions while I'm learning about security. I had hoped that Win2000 would be secure on its own merits :).

As an aside, I was not aware I could share files and printers on the internal network without using netbeui. While the printers all have jetdirect cards and can be accessed via tcp/ip, how would Win98 computer A access a Word document on Win98 computer B without using netbeui?
