Gee dick - I didn't think the details of the settlement were public - maybe you can post them here for us to read since you suggest you know them... silly dick, this is a game of business... ya see dick, in business rmbs might give Hitachi a chunk of stock so Hitachi will settle and agree to pay royalities... And the stock might be worth way more than the fees Hitachi needs to pay... ya see dick, that's the way business is done... No. Has Rambus warned that there would be large legal fees from the Infineon lawsuit that wouldn't be offset by additional current revenues? Yes. Every indication is that the Hitachi settlement was for a trivial amount and that the Infineon suit will be long, expensive, and, in the end, not very lucrative. Dan
