I'm not looking out as far as you, but I suspect we hit resistance around 21 1/2 or 22 in the next week or 2 at most. Then the shorts will go at it again, maybe not as heavy though. The worst is already behind us though. That's why I'm in now.

WSTL's stock price looks/feels very weak and EFNT going down hard is not helping. I always thought WSTL would go up and meet EFNT not EFNT come down to meet WSTL.

There is a lot of talk about the impact of SBC and VZ on CPE sales this qtr and how the likes of WSTL and EFNT (miss hard) are gonna miss CPE revenues. It was always my understanding that WSTL was always conservative in guiding the analysts on the estimates so that there was always room for situations such as this???

Here are the Revenue and EPS estimates for Sept. qtr. The Most aggressive being Kaufman...

Analyst / TAP / Trans / Services / CPE / Total / EPS

Robin / 33 / 12 / 11 / 66/ 122 / 7
H&Q / 122 / 7
Baird / 30 / 13 / 11 / 67/ 122 / 7
UBS / 32 / 15 / 11 / 70 /128 / 9
Frost / 32 / 15 / 11 / 70 / 129 / 8
KBRO / 30 / 15 / 11/ 80 / 136/ 9

Analyst/ Equip. / Services / Total / EPS
Jefferies / 115 / 11 / 126 / 8
Stephens / 117 / 11 / 128 / 8

In a Raymond James report dated 08/09/00 they say "from our conversation with WSTL, the company guided to only 10-15% revenue growth for the next three qtrs citing concerns that some service providers were ordering ahead of themselves."

15% times last qtr CPE revenues of $62 equals $71

So does WSTL hit the EPS concensus of 8 cents and CPE revenues fall somewhere between $66 and 80, or do they miss all numbers OR do they exceed all numbers?

Stock sure is acting as though they are gonna miss all?

Looking forward to after Oct. 19th...as you said <IMO, this should be the last war on WSTL, after Sep qtr, the earnings AND cash flow will be too good, the year end rally will be the best>
