I learned a few years ago that selling slightly out of the money calls only results in losing winners. GTW remained in the 20's for months and then seemingly quickly rose to the 60's, and my TMX did the same from low 30's to 70's. So I just kept buying CPQ when it dipped below 25 and I will hold until at least Jan'01. I will not write calls because one never knows when a 3-5 point day will happen.
