Good Morning Sonny,

You'll never offend me and I really didn't mean to come off like a whiner. I'm pretty hard to offend, just ask the guys I work with. :-0 Remember I'm from pretty hardy stock. I'm a descendent of farmers so we know how to survive and they most certainly had it much worse than I could have ever had it. It really all comes down to choices and maybe a bit of pride or stubbornness too. <VBG>!! The armed services were an option before I was left to look out for my 2 younger siblings. We have a saying around here 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger'. <ggg> And some people WILL take advantage of the system anyway they can. I also think some people think the government owes them something.

I think I saw the same program about the welfare moms. If I recall one of the daughters went back to the projects and was now pregnant. I think the premise is a good one, get them trained get them to work and pay taxes. I know we have both paid the government back for any training we got on their dime. Via my PELL Grants or you Navel days.

Maybe this will help my/our LU at bit.

And to you and Yaacov's discussion about the Russians. The internet has changed everything about the way information is spread now. Governments won't be able to keep things from the people like the did in the past. And no I am not naive enough to believe we hear everything from our government either. I really hope the Norwegians and British can help those guys on the sub. It sure doesn't look good right now. At lease they swallowed their pride and asked for help.

Sorry to come off a little crabby or whinny lately. Maybe it's the heat. <ggg> 100+ the last few days!!

I'll yack at ya later. Have a good day and INTC's not acting to bad so far. 70ish.

Take Care

Ann

About this ultra ultra conservative stuff from the religious right. Are you talking about Lieberman? gg. Did you listen to his speech right after he heard that Al Gore named him his running mate? Half his speech was about God.

Remember the explanation they went through about why it was OK that he voted a few times on Saturdays because people's welfare was at stake?

LIEBERMAN CAMPAIGNED DURING HOLY DAY; DID NOT ABSTAIN

Questions were raised this week after it emerged that vice presidential hopeful Joseph Lieberman did not strictly observe a Jewish day of mourning that requires adherents to abstain from major activities, including eating, drinking, washing clothes and listening to live music.

Lieberman campaigned aggressively in Atlanta and Philadelphia with running mate Al Gore on the fast day of Tisha B'Av, which was observed by Orthodox Jews last Wednesday sundown through Thursday sundown. While aboard Air Force II, Lieberman was seen drinking and chewing on an apparent snack, according to sources.
