Donald the mania is still there maybe not in force as it was 6 months ago but wen EBAY, YHOO, JDSU, CIEN, GLW, CSCO SUNW and others trade at present price levels the mania is alive and well.

Peopel forgot the notion of value and alternative investment channels.

My definition of a mania is wen earnings do not matter and a stock trades on momentum and WS grown fantasies.

In an interest environment of 6% stock should trade around 15 to 18 times earnings. Many stock with some earnings trade at double the "anticipated earnings growth" completely ignoring present earnings.

All the mumbo jambo about earnings growth 2 to 5 years in advance are pure smoke dreams as QCOM or AMZN was able to prove.
