88 or 98? Whichever, the argument amongst SUNW fanatics goes something like this: "Wintel has been talking of challenging SUNW for the last X years and it just hasn't happened, therefore it never will...."

How many workstations (i.e. engineering design, financial, software development etc) ran windows 5 years ago, 10 years ago?

How many do now? Do you see a trend?

If IA64 would have come out in 1997 like originally planned, this may have come true. Now it is doomed.
