You're saying homosexuals have served, but because they may have lied to get into the service, they served dishonorably?? Let's see where this logic might take us.... Do you also consider heterosexuals who have served and fornicated or committed adultery as having served dishonorably? How about the ones who had sex with prostitutes who were under the age of 21? And how about those who attended and participated in beasteality shows, or all the service-men who lied about their age in WW2 (in order to get in) and went on to earn a purple heart in battle? Since all these acts are contradictory to the UCMJ, using your convoluted logic, they must have ALL served dishonorably. The main reason "don't ask don't tell" works reasonably well is because it doesn't force the service to introspectively deal with every sexual behavior (it knows is occurring) in the service, and become hypocritical toward the implementation of punishment and enforcement of the UCMJ. Additionally, I would assume they're some people who entered the service confused and unsure of their sexual orientation (Especially considering many people enter the service in their teens). So your assumption that every homosexual had lied in the past as part of his/her enlistment is a bit presumptuous. Furthermore, your belief that because you're a homosexual means you're a child molester is nonsense. Every homosexual is not a child molester. That's just your homophobia surfacing into words, which has zero basis in objective reality. Two adult men having sex is not child molestation. It's amusing how you were unable to answer any of the questions I posed in my earlier post. And it's interesting how willing you're to accept and apologize for the sometimes bizarre sexual appetites of heterosexual troops, but are unwilling to be tolerant of homosexual desires. Lastly, I am not a homosexual. And I think quite a few people on this thread reading our interchange would find the idea pretty amusing. Michael p.s. I read your bio and thank you for your service to our great country.
