Agree, not on raw clock frequency. But you don't win
customers based on that. It is only a marketing hype.

If SUNW does "adopt IA64 in a big way", do you think it
can win easily against wintel/linux as it is now? SUNW will
be no better than DELL/CPQ/HWP and even have a late start
than these competitors. If SUNW actually do this, I may
reconsider my SUNW holding.

BTW, I would think intel has superior manufacturing
capability and its process is not as superior as you think.
