Hi heinz blasnik; Actually, the guys who did the roulette computer preferred a (mechanically) perfect wheel. They were into the non-linear dynamics. In particular, they didn't place their bets until after the ball was in play, and they took into account its position and velocity, as well as the velocity of the wheel.
