Clinton could never manage a majority. Perot mostly took away Republican leaning independents. This will not, very likely, be close. The structure of the electorate still favors Republicans.........

I think you underestimate the negatives of Gore's appeal. I read a recent poll which said 44% of the people polled would *never* vote for Gore.

The numbers may flip-flop for quite some time. But I don't believe he will ever get over 45% of the vote. With the third party candidates so weak, that basically means Bush has the nomination locked up.

The only wild card left for the Gore followers to play is Buchannan. If the media (who support Gore) try and boost Buchannan's chances similar to the way they endorsed McCain it might be close. Otherwise, it's already over.

The idea that people don't *know* Al Gore and he needs to "introduce" himself to the American people is silly. People know Gore. Most simply don't like the guy. He's an extreme socialist environmental silver spooned lying hypocrite. And those are not leadership qualities most admire.

This weekend, I believe, is time for George W to introduce himself to the American people with a huge television campaign. Most of the undecided voters are T.V. focused households.

Education is still the key and weak spot for Gore. Education and integrity. They should drive those two points home until everyone in America has an idea where George W will lead differently.
