Corning to Open New Photonic Components Manufacturing Facility

This is the key to this company. As long as an alternate supplier to JDSU/SDLI is desired by the NT, LU, Cisco types----Corning will continue to expand production as well as diversify its product base.
The need for a secondary supplier of components will drive GLW's production expansions as well as its PE.
There is no way NT or LU will accept a situation with JDSU being the only external source for components. GLW has been buying and expanding in this area. Of course it also fits in with big business in fibre cables.

This company is in an amazing position right now. My reason for going heavy into it was their regular earnings preannouncements, consolodation among other fibre plays, and most importantly the need for a secondary supplier.

Good luck.
