NO lowers us.

GO uplifts us.

Mommy, Mary said I'm ugly. NO, Dear, Mary is obviously needing to make you feel bad to make herself feel better. This is her problem.

Dad, can I spend some time with you to talk about my science project. I'm busy, GO do it yourself.

Sorry, but I proved the principle wrong. The roles of NO vs. GO were reversed. One example in each case is enough. Logically speaking. NO, can be uplifting. GO, can be debasing.

Therefore, since the words don't make the point and in fact, can be used to demonstrate the exact opposite of what is claimed, perhaps one should find another banner word. Or, better yet, avoid banner words.
