SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 17, 2000--Wireless Knowledge Inc., a Microsoft Corporation (Nasdaq:MSFT - news) and QUALCOMM Inc. (Nasdaq: QCOM - news) company, Thursday announced the appointment of Jim Cummiskey as the company's industry analyst to support business development and strategic planning.

As part of Wireless Knowledge's professional services organization, Cummiskey will also support the sales of strategic mobility consulting services to Wireless Knowledge's enterprise customers.

Cummiskey is an 11-year technology industry veteran in the mobile computing and wireless data field. He has led numerous consulting engagements for both large and small companies in the public and private sectors of the mobile computing industry, and has written articles for high-profile industry publications including ComputerWorld, Handheld PC Magazine, HP Palmtop Magazine and Red Herring. His work has also been featured in InfoWorld, PC Magazine and The Wall Street Journal.

Before joining Wireless Knowledge, Cummiskey was an industry analyst and director of consulting for Mobile Insights, a leading professional services firm in the mobile computing and data communications sector.
