"YES! x86-64 supports 3DNow!, SSE and SSE2

She read from a Q&A that SSE2 support is for double-precision SIMD support; and 3DNow and SSE are also both there for single precision SIMD support and greater compatibility. Apparently even though AMD will support SSE and SSE2 they have no plans to stop supporting 3DNow."

Ali, for a somewhat more official diagram, there's inqst.com, pages 10-11 (or 19-22 on the slides) , posted by Jozef Halada on the other thread recently. Aside from the official AMD logo plastered all over the slides, the three holy letters show up too. No labels on the northbridge chips, though.

I sort of wonder about the 760/760MP, maybe the 760 will support 2 processors, and the 760MP will support larger scale NUMA configurations via the LDT (cLDT in the slides) port.

Cheers, Dan.

Ali, yes it does look that way (SMP). Just that I thought that, with SMP being such a big deal as a missing part of AMD's overall strategy (and I know they can't catch up with everything at once), the author would have put the term in there at least once.
